Video: The Sagan Series, Part 1 - "The Frontier is Everywhere," 2011

It seems almost profane to call this "advertising," but that it essentially what it is; the first in a series of videos using recordings from Carl Sagan's "Pale Blue Dot" to illustrate the hope and potential of NASA and mankind's ultimate goal of exploration beyond our terrestrial home.

Since debuting in early February, this first video has already garnered over a million hits and just shy of 7,000 fans on Facebook thanks to social media marketer Reid Gower.

Sagan himself, gone since 1996, remains one of the most potent icons of humanity's future from a cosmic perspective and, not unlike the equally tremendous Symphony of Science videos, serves to ensure his message reverberates for generations to come.

The second video, "Life Looks for Life," can be seen here and more info and regular updates are available on the Sagan Series' Facebook page.
